As a result of our move to CMAT on 1st October 2020, we are currently updating many of our local school policies.

The Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust through the Trust Board and its Policy and Scrutiny Committees and the Executive Committee (Principals’ Committee) establishes many trust-wide policies relating to safeguarding, student welfare, teaching and learning, personnel and finance. These can be found on the CMAT website here.

Special Educational Needs Policy

At Stratton Upper School, we believe that every student really does matter and are highly conscious that students only get one opportunity at school. Therefore we will make every possible effort to provide all students with an outstanding educational provision.

We believe that education should be fully inclusive. We are committed to ensuring equality of education and opportunity. We do this through evaluating and reviewing our practices regularly to ensure we achieve this.

At Stratton Upper School, we believe in the development of a culture of inclusion and diversity in which all those connected to the school feel proud of their identity and able to participate fully in school life. We support this by • Enabling all students to access the curriculum. • Enabling all students to make progress in lessons. • Enabling all students to be confident and independent learners.
